History of Use

Turkey Tail is one of the most abundant medicinal mushrooms you will see growing in the forest. This mushroom gets its name from the distinct multicolored rings it forms that resemble a turkey’s tail. The tenacity and vigorous growth of Turkey Tail was highly revered in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In TCM terms, Turkey Tail is thought to collect the yang energy of the trees and is said to replenish the essence and qi (energy) in the body. Traditionally, it has been used to invigorate the spleen, eliminate dampness and wind, relieve cough, help with breathing difficulty, and regulate the immune system.

Proudly Sourced from China

Before entering a professional relationship with a farmer or grower, we carefully review their organic growing, harvesting, and processing practices to ensure they meet our high standards for quality and ethics. Our decision to source from China and Siberia is made mindfully and with deep consideration of purity, potency, and quality.

These regions have a long-established history of traditional mushroom cultivation that spans back over thousands of years, including the development of rigorous standards that ensure the fruiting bodies are high in polysaccharide profiles and contain measurable amounts of other key active compounds.

Our Difference

Our Turkey Tail is cultivated organically and sustainably using traditional growing methods, without the use of agricultural chemicals. It undergoes rigorous testing and quality control is maintained throughout the entire process. Our mushrooms are processed using advanced technology and a sophisticated grading system. Hot water and/or alcohol are used to extract the active compounds from mushroom fruiting bodies. Our Turkey Tail is free from mycelium, grain, starch, and fillers.
